Swiss watchmaker, Romain Jerome, Chief Executive of Yvan Arpa has just enveiled his prototype “Moon Dust-DNA” watch collection which incorporates authentic moon dust, parts of the Apollo 11 rocket and bits of spacesuits. The watches’ dials, which feature tiny craters, will have dust in them from the moon rock that was taken from the first visit to the Earth’s satellite. Steel from the Apollo 11 space shuttle will be used for the case and the strap will be made up of fibers from a spacesuit worn during the ISS mission. There will be only 1969 watches made, commemorating Neil Armstrong’s first journey to the moon. Available for between $15,000 and $500,000. What recession?
